QA Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF)
Cymorth Cyntaf Iechyd Meddwl yn y Gweithle - £280 per person (No VAT applicable) - 2 day course.
Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK are likely to experience a mental health issue each year? This cost of mental health problems in the UK is a very worrying £117.9 billion. Therefore, it's important for organisations to provide pro-active support to employees, to ideally stop mental health problems arising in the first instance. In the unfortunate instance that they do arise, the next step is to recognise them, and act and support accordingly. This course can help you do both. Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet whilst we know how to take care of physical health, many people do not know how to support relatives, friends and even colleagues who are experiencing poor mental health. Although this course is primarily used to support others with mental health concerns, it is also useful for recognising signs in yourself.
By developing a greater understanding of common mental health issues, as well as how best to support and guide someone experiencing poor mental health. Mental Health First Aiders play a vital role in reducing the stigma associated with mental health in the UK.
