Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK are likely to experience a mental health issue each year? Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet whilst we know how to take care of physical health, many people do not know how to support relatives, friends and even colleagues who are experiencing poor mental health.

By developing a greater understanding of common mental health issues, as well as how best to support and guide someone experiencing poor mental health. Mental Health First Aiders play a vital role in reducing the stigma associated with mental health in the UK.

This QA Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions in the workplace and how best to offer support and guidance to colleagues.

Course Overview

Throughout this 1-day course, learners will develop an understanding on the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and the role that everyone plays in recognising mental health issues at work. Topics covered include: understanding mental health and its importance, promoting positive mental health in the workplace, common mental health conditions, mental health first aid at work action plans.

Certification

Successful learners will receive a personalised QA Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace (RQF) e-certificate. Printed certificates are available for an additional cost of £5 (includes postage).

Course Venue

All our open courses are delivered at our training facility at Prospect House, Factory Road, Sandycroft, Deeside, CH5 2QJ. While on your course, all refreshments such as teas and coffees are provided free of charge. There are various food outlets nearby to purchase lunch if required. If you have a number of staff that needs the training, we can deliver the training at your venue. Please get in touch for more information.
