Which First Aid Course Do Plumbers Need?
For many plumbers and small trade teams, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a strong starting point. It covers CPR, choking, bleeding, burns and unconscious casualtiesβideal for common trade risks and lone working scenarios.
Where risk assessments or site requirements demand broader coverage, First Aid at Work (FAW) is the more comprehensive option.
Common plumber-related incident risks:
- Cuts and bleeding from tools and sharp materials
- Burns/scalds from hot water systems and pipework
- Falls from ladders and awkward access points
- Manual handling strains and sudden collapses
- Lone working emergencies in domestic properties
Recommended Training Options
All courses are accredited by Qualsafe Awards and align with HSE & Ofqual standards.
Onsite Training for Plumbing Teams
If youβve got a larger team (or multiple engineers), onsite training may be more cost-effective than sending people to an open course. We can deliver at your premises or a suitable site location, subject to minimum numbers.
