At The Hive Collaborative, we aim to make learning
First Aid,
Health & Safety, and
HR & People Management
as straightforward and accessible as possible. Our courses are designed to deliver real-world value and meet UK compliance standards.
These terms and conditions are intended to be clear and practical. They may be updated without prior notice.
1. Booking and Payment
- Bookings may be made via our website, email, telephone, or contact form.
- Telephone bookings should be confirmed in writing on request.
- Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed. Payment must be received before the course start date.
- Public/open courses: payment is due at the time of booking. Corporate/onsite training: invoiced per agreed terms (e.g. 14 days).
- Prices are subject to VAT unless stated otherwise.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
If cancelled by the client:
- More than 14 daysβ notice: Full refund or no charge.
- 7β14 daysβ notice: 50% of the course fee payable.
- Less than 7 daysβ notice or non-attendance: 100% of the course fee payable.
Transfers: One transfer allowed free of charge if notified more than 7 days in advance.
If cancelled by The Hive Collaborative: We will offer a full refund or free transfer. We are not liable for travel or other costs.
All cancellations or transfers must be made in writing.
3. Delegate Substitutions
- Substitutions may be made any time before the course with written notice.
- For blended learning, substitute delegates must complete all required e-learning before the in-person session.
4. Attendance and Conduct
- Full attendance is mandatory. Late arrivals or missed sessions may result in removal from the course without certification or refund.
- If a delegate cannot meet the learning objectives, they may be required to rebook.
- Zero tolerance policy: Abuse, discrimination, aggression, or foul language directed at trainers, staff, or other learners will result in immediate removal. No refunds will be issued, and the matter may be escalated.
5. Requalification Courses
Delegates must hold a valid FAW certificate on the course start date. If expired by over 1 calendar month, the full FAW course must be completed.
6. Client Responsibilities (Onsite Training)
- Provide a quiet, suitable space with seating, power, and space for activities.
- Allow approx. 2mΒ² per learner for practical training.
- Desks must be spaced at least 1 metre apart for written assessments.
- Ensure delegates are physically and mentally capable of taking part. Notify us in advance of any accessibility or learning needs.
7. Inclusivity and Accessibility
We welcome learners with disabilities or additional needs. Employers are responsible for ensuring candidates are suitable for the course and supported appropriately in the workplace.
8. Course Content, Trainers, and Accreditation
- Courses are delivered by experienced, qualified professionals.
- Training is delivered under licence via Qualsafe Awards, an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation.
- Where applicable, our training aligns with frameworks from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
- Content may be updated at any time to meet current legislation or best practice.
9. Certification
- Certificates are issued only to learners who attend the full course and meet assessment criteria.
- Reprints available for a small admin fee.
10. Liability
- We are not responsible for lost or damaged belongings during training.
- No liability for injury unless due to our negligence.
