Which First Aid Course Do Electricians Need?
For many electricians, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) provides a strong baseline: CPR, choking, bleeding, burns, shock and unconscious casualties.
Where risk assessments, site rules or higher-risk environments apply, First Aid at Work (FAW) offers broader coverage.
Common electrician-related incident risks:
- Burns and scalds
- Falls from ladders and access equipment
- Cuts and bleeding from tools and materials
- Sudden collapses and medical emergencies
- Lone working incidents in domestic/commercial premises
Note: electrical incidents require immediate emergency response and safe isolation procedures. Our training focuses on first aid response after a casualty is safe to approach, alongside practical emergency actions such as calling 999 and using an AED.
Recommended Training Options
All courses are accredited by Qualsafe Awards and align with HSE & Ofqual standards.
Onsite Training for Electrical Teams
If you have multiple engineers, onsite training can be more efficient than sending staff to open courses. We can deliver at your premises or a suitable training location, subject to minimum numbers.
