All courses are regulated and the qualifications are recognised by Qualifications Wales and Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). All of our Health and Social Care courses are delivered by a quality assured instructor who has completed a Qualsafe approved instructor programme and are either working in the industry or are a healthcare professional.
QA Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention and Control (RQF)
£75 + VAT per person – half day course
The Covid-19 pandemic reinforced the importance of infection prevention and control. This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their knowledge of the principles of infection prevention and control, and how best to protect those around them.
The objective of the qualification is to develop Learner’s understanding of their role and responsibilities in helping to prevent the spread of infection.
This qualification is for people working in the health and social care sector. It’s particularly useful for health care assistants, health care workers or a social care worker.
QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Safe Handling and Administration of Medication (RQF)
£99 + VAT per person – 1 day course
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification develops a learner’s knowledge and understanding of safe administration and handling of medication.
The objective of the qualification is to give Learners an introduction into the safe handling and administration of medication, to recognise current legislation and guidance, the different types of medication and the correct storage and disposal of medication.
This course is suitable for all Learners working in, or wanting to work in, a health and social care environment for example support workers and care workers.
Open courses are available at our training venue in Flintshire, North Wales (Prospect House, Factory Road, Sandycroft, CH5 2QJ. If you have a number of staff that require training, we can come to your venue.
