Low Risk Environments

A low-risk workplace, such as a small office should have a first-aid box and appointed persons responsible for first aid. Please ensure there is adequate first aid cover if your appointed person is off site, ill or on annual leave. Everyone involved, employees, managers and appointed persons should be aware of the arrangements for first aid. They must also be confident that they have the required skills to complete their duties in a medical emergency. As an employer you must provide information about first-aid arrangements to your employees. We Recommend – As a minimum, we recommend your appointed persons completes our 1 day, Emergency at Work First Aid Course and the annual refresher. We Recommend – As a minimum, we recommend you train your first aiders with the full, 3 day, First Aid at Work course. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”129″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

First Aid Courses FAQ’s

[/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=”What is First Aid?”] First aid is the immediate care given to a person suffering from either a minor or serious injury or illness. The care provided by a first aider may be required to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery. It includes initial intervention in a serious condition prior to professional medical help being available, such as performing CPR while waiting for an ambulance. In minor cases it may simply involve applying a bandage. [/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can you do a first aid course online?”] As all industry standard first aid courses has to involve skills based teaching and assessments, fully online courses are not suitable if this is the standard you wish to meet. However, blended courses are an option and are invaluable. This is where you can complete part of the theory based course content online, leaving less time on a face-to-face course, which in these uncertain Covid times, is a great method of training your staff in the safest way possible. However, please note that not all courses are available as blended learning. If unsure, please give us a call on 01352 781965. [/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How long does it take to do a First Aid course?”] First Aid courses take between 1 and 3 days to complete. Emergency First Aid at Work is a one day course. The full, First Aid at Work course is 3 days. The latter can be reduced to 2 face to face days when blended learning is used. [/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Recent review – October 2021 – Old No.7 Bar Wrexham “Great training thank you, the No7 team definitely feel more confident with our first aid skills after such a good course. Thanks for helping us keep our venue safe. Highly recommended!”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
