Was nervous attending after years of no training but once I was there the assessors were very kind and reassuring and put me at ease.
The course was very in depth and made sense.
The training group was small which was more comfortable and relatable with each other.
The building was clean and modern and the free coffee was an added bonus. Thank you for two days if learning

Excellent deliverance of the First Aid course! For being so intense and a lot of information to cover, the trainers made it very fun! I can now say that I feel more confident if I ever have to come across a first aid situation.

I have just completed a first aid at work course here and could not of been any happier. All the staff were very welcoming & helpful, it was a great office space with amenities. I have done many first aid courses in the past with various providers & I can honestly say this is the best one I have attended. I loved that it was a smaller group, therefore we could have discussions/ask questions, and it made the practical side much easier than previous courses as Ian (the instructor) could watch what we were doing on a more 1-1 basis and guide us if we went wrong. Also, it was great that Ian was a working paramedic, therefore he had so many personal scenarios that he could share with the group relating to the topic we were covering, it was really nice to have someone who does this on a day-to-day basis, rather than previous providers who have taught for a long time, rather than working on the job.
Overall I would 100% recommend and I will be making sure all our operatives at work use The Hive 🙂 Many Thanks.

I loved doing my first aid course here, the staff is so lovely and I love the relaxed atmosphere, the building is well organised and extremely tidy and clean. The trainer Emma helped me and my colleague throughout the entire course, i will definitely be going here for my training in the future. 🤍

Brilliant course, attended with my 6m old and it was really baby friendly. Relaxed but very informative. Emma was so knowledgeable and it was really good to get hands on practice with mannequins. Would definitely recommend!!

The course was very interesting, enjoyable and helpful. We covered a lot of different aspects with combination of role play and videos. Our trainer Binny has big experience and excellent professional skills and made us feel ease and guided through the course.

I did Paediatric first aid course today and also did the top up online course. The online course was easy to navigate and could do it at my own pace which worked around my working shifts.
Then I did the face to face course today. Ian Bennington was friendly down to earth and professional, he put us at ease straight away. He explained everything clearly and made sure we understood what to do.

Throughout the years I have taken various first aid courses, however as a first time mum I decided to take the paediatric first aid course so I could learn first aid techniques specifically for babies and children. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the course but it far exceeded any expectations I had. The course was well organized and the instructor Dr Emma was brilliant. This is the first time I’ve had a medical professional teach me a first aid course and I can honestly said it made such a difference in how the course was taught. Dr Emma broke the first aid course down into simple and easy techniques to remember and I felt a lot more prepared and confident by the end of the class. Highly recommend this class!

It was a pleasure to spend a Saturday having fun whilst also learning how to deal with accident/medical emergencies that can happen within the setting I work.
Emma and Imogen kept a good pace and had fun.
I now feel comfortable and confident to deal with anything that could occur within my setting and look forward to seeing them again to refresh and retrain

Welcome to the HR department at the Hive Collaborative. We are HR Consultants in Deeside, North Wales We provide a HR consultancy support service to a wide range of businesses. These comprise sole traders, SMEs to PLCs. We also offer face to face, virtual and online HR training. We’re Proud that all our HR consultants are CIPD members and complete relevant CPD each year to keep up to date with new and inspiring ways of working.  Our services are very comprehensive and equally as flexible, meaning you can contract us for as little or as much as you require.

First Aid Training in Deeside, North Wales & Cheshire

Ofqual Approved, Qualsafe First Aid Training in Deeside, North Wales –  Our courses can be conducted on site with you (subject to numbers), or at our first aid training centre in Deeside. All of our First Aid trainers are clinically qualified with acute emergency medical backgrounds. This level of experience is not a requirement for a First Aid trainer but we have sought the most highly knowledgeable and competent healthcare professionals to provide the best quality of training possible. They all hold current and relevant qualifications in teaching and training.  We also deliver courses during out of hours, e.g. evenings and weekends. 

First Aid at Work (FAW) – £190+VAT

This is the full, industry standard, First Aid at Work Training (FAW) course. Traditionally this is a three day, face to face course. However, we complete it via blended learning – 1 day online at your own convenience / 2 days in the classroom.

Be aware – Exclusively online alternatives are not available for this course.

This is the First Aid at Work course you will need to book if your workplace, environment, event, etc. is classified as high risk, e.g. hot work, manufacturing, construction sites, or sites with mobile plants.

Schools, hotels and care homes can also fall into the high risk category depending on the number of attendees / employees / residents it has. You may also need this course if your organisation has identified that there is a requirement for additional first aid training e.g. having employees with a disability or a medical condition.

The FAW qualification is valid for 3 years. The HSE and ourselves recommend an Annual First Aid Refresher course to keep your skills fresh.

Emergency First Aid at Work – £80+VAT

This is the industry standard, Emergency First Aid at Work Training (EFAW) course. It’s a 1 day, face to face course.

Be aware – Exclusively online alternatives are not available for this course.

This is the EFAW course you will need to book if your workplace, environment, event, etc. is classified as low risk, with less than 25 people e.g. a small office. It will give delegates (your nominated first aider) the confidence and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations.

If you are booking this course for a large number of delegates, then it may be more cost effective for us to come to your site.

We also recommend you share your first aid risk assessment with us. This enables us to add a bespoke element to the standard course with other potential emergencies that you are likely to encounter.

The EFAW qualification is valid for 3 years. The HSE and ourselves recommend an Annual First Aid Refresher course to keep your skills fresh.

First Aid at Work Annual Refresher – £50+VAT

As an employer, you are legally obliged to ensure that your first aiders are competent and maintain their skills throughout the three year certification period in which their certificates are valid for.

Therefore, this course is for people who currently hold a valid First Aid at Work (FAW) training (FAW) or Emergency First Aid at Work Training (EFAW) qualification.

The 1/2 day training course helps build a first aiders confidence and strengthens their experience.

Any updates in the first aid field are also covered in the course.

Candidates also have the opportunity to ask our trainers questions that may have arisen since their initial training, potentially, as a result of being involved in a first aid incident.

However, this first aid refresher course does not renew first aid certificates, or extend their validity period. It’s purely there to keep a first aiders essential skills and confidence up to date.

FAW Requalification Course – £120+VAT

Certificates for the purposes of first aid at work (FAW course) last for three years. At which point the first aid certificate expires.

Therefore, a first-aider will need to complete a first aid requalification course as appropriate, to obtain another three-year certificate.

This is the full, industry standard, First Aid at Work (FAW) Requalification course.

It is delivered as a 2 day blended learning course. The equivalent to 1 day will be undertaken by the candidate completing an online module while the other 1 day will be in a classroom setting, face-to-face.

You must already hold a valid First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work Requalification certificate to be allowed onto this course.

On successful completion of the course, your FAW certificate is extended for another 3 years.

The HSE and ourselves recommend an Annual First Aid Refresher course to keep your skills fresh.
